Please continue to check this website for the most up-to-date information on the 2022 Reading Festival! We’ll kick things off with the Book Drive on October 31. More info below!
Book Drive – October 31-November 17
Clear your bookshelves at home to make room for new ones! Students may bring gently used books to drop off at any of the six collection sites on campus: Preschool entrance, Lower School Library, Lower School main entrance, SLC lobby, MMSB student entrance, and the Security Office.
Please no sticker books or workbooks. We kindly ask you to only donate books in good condition.

Book Sale: November 10-11 (PS) & November 14-17 (K-8)
The Preschool Book Sale will be held Thursday, November 10, and Friday, November 11, in the Fellowship Hall. The sale will be open from 8:00-11:00 a.m. each day; the class shopping schedule is available below. You are invited to attend the sale during your child’s shopping time.
The Lower School & Middle School Book Sale will be held November 14-17 in the Huffington Library & Media Center. The sale will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday, and 8:00-11:30 a.m. on Thursday. You are invited to attend the sale during your child’s shopping time; the shopping schedule is available below. We will also be sending home designated book fair envelopes to send money for your Lower/Middle School child to shop independently.
There are also opportunities to volunteer during the Book Sale. Volunteers will assist students in selecting books, work at the Friends of the Library table helping parents and students donate books, restock the tables, assist the cashiers, etc. Please use the shopping schedule to coordinate your volunteer shift with your child’s shopping time.
Friends of the Library
Friends of the ROBS libraries (parents, grandparents, or special friends!) also have the opportunity to donate bookplates during Reading Festival! Bookplates are dedication labels placed in the front of new books. They may be purchased for $25 each to honor someone special to you (i.e., a student or faculty member) or the ROBS community. Each bookplate purchased adds an additional book to our beloved libraries!
Bookplates are available for in-person purchase during the Book Sale. Students or their parents may choose the book for their bookplates (from a list preselected by the librarians) during the Book Sale. If you don’t select a book for your bookplate during Reading Festival, the librarians will select for you. Thanks!
