Many Lower School students play on United Church Athletic League (UCAL) teams sponsored by the River Oaks Baptist Church (ROBC). ROBC is a founding member of UCAL. UCAL teams are not part of the River Oaks Baptist School Athletic Program. The primary mission of the league is to provide families with a place to take part in athletic competition within a Christian environment. UCAL teams typically have one practice/week, one game/week, and parent coaches.
Registration for the UCAL 2025-26 season is open! The league offers soccer (grades PreK-5), basketball (grades K-5), and volleyball (grades 3-6), as well as skills in camps in other sports such as lacrosse and golf.

Fall 2025 Boys & Girls Soccer (Grades K-5)
Skills Camp: Saturday, August 16
Dates: Team practices will begin on Saturday, August 23. Games will begin on Saturday, September 6 (K only) and Monday, September 8 (Grades 1-4). The season will conclude by Saturday, November 8.
Times: All practices are held Saturday afternoons starting

- Fall 2025 Boys & Girls Soccer Academy (Grades PreK-5): Soccer Academy offers 5 sessions to players grades PreK-5 on Saturday afternoons starting Saturday, September 6.
Winter 2025-26 Boys & Girls Basketball League (Grades 2-5)
Skills Camp: Saturday, November 8
Dates: Practice will begin on Saturday, November 15. Games will begin on Monday, December 1 and will conclude after Christmas Break in late January/early February.
Additional Opportunities:
- Winter 2025-26 Boys & Girls Soccer Academy (Grades K & 1 only): Basketball Academy offers 5 sessions for students K-1st grade on Sunday afternoons starting Saturday, January 10.
Spring 2026 Girls Volleyball (Grades 3-6)
Dates: Practice will begin on Saturday, February 21. Games will begin Monday, March 23 and the season will conclude Saturday, May 9.
