About Me:

I’m a retired Portfolio Manager, corporate and non-profit board member, and a volunteer many times over!

We are entering our eighth year at ROBS, and we thank God every day for the gift of being in this amazing community. We wanted an environment that would focus on the whole child – not only pushing our children academically, but also reinforcing Christian values and principles. In an increasingly complex world, ROBS prepares our children to be leaders who can think critically and lead with an enduring moral compass.  And, they make learning FUN and do it all in a developmentally appropriate way.  Our family loves spending time together, whether it’s watching the boys’ soccer games, seeing Camilla’s ballet, making homemade pizzas or attending church together on Sundays.

About Me:

Some of my most treasured and formative life moments took place during my nine years as a student at ROBS.

Now as a current parent, it fills me with joy to see the faces of many of the same ROBS faculty that taught me more than twenty-five years ago and to know that they are molding the hearts and minds of my two boys.

After living on the East Coast and Denver, CO for 15+ years, we moved to Houston in 2021. My husband is a Massachusetts native and both of my boys were born in Boston; as you can imagine, I have a house full of snow aficionados and Patriots/Red Sox fans!

We love that the Christian education at ROBS prepares our boys to navigate the world with empathy and the Fruits of the Spirit.  Our boys are nurtured and challenged, and their teachers are remarkable.  We believe that the ROBS community is truly something special, and look forward to weekly chapel, Fall Fair, and Field Day where lifelong memories and friendships are made.  We love meeting new people, attending Houston sporting events, and exploring the outdoors.  Outside of school, you will find us cheering our boys on at Post Oak Little League and UCAL soccer games, eating at Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen, or spending time with my five siblings and their families who we are blessed to have close by in Houston.

About Me:

I am a Partner at a consulting firm; and ROBS has offered great opportunities for me to be involved, even while balancing work and travel.

We participated in the admissions process for kindergarten with my daughter and preschool for my son. I’m the room parent for my 2nd grader, and my kids participate in the musical theater, taekwondo and science afterschool programs at ROBS. Outside of school, my kids also participate in swim team, dance and basketball. On the weekends our family loves to bike ride, play board games, and watch football. Our kids have thrived at ROBS, and both are finding a love for learning and for their community.

About Me:

We are starting our 8th year as a ROBS family with our oldest now starting Middle School. We love how nurturing of an environment our children have the opportunity to be in every day.

We’ve called Houston home for the past 20 years and are usually running around all over the place between various activities and spending time with family and friends.  We feel fortunate to be part of a community of administration, educators, and families that have the students’ best interests at heart.  I’m happy to connect with any questions and discuss our wonderful experience in this special place.

About Me:

I am a full-time working mom in information technology at Chevron, as well as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and a ROBS parent volunteer.

After trying HISD and another private school, my oldest started River Oaks Baptist School in 5th grade, and seven years later, we are still here! We love ROBS because of its strong academics, Christian character development and joyful learning environment. On the weekends, you’ll likely us at a Scout activity, campout, or church activity. Our favorite family pastime is taking RV road trips.

About Me:

We are extremely blessed that both of our children attended ROBS. We are a very busy family of four but when we are not busy we enjoy volunteering in the community.

We also love family game nights, spending time with our very large extended family, and discovering the newest Houston restaurants. Even though our children no longer attend the school, ROBS will always be family to us.

About Me:

I am a Real Estate Developer/Broker and Attorney. This is our second year at River Oaks Baptist School and the staff, parents, and children have become like our extended family.

Most of our time goes by attending their games (be it basketball, baseball or soccer), and if we’re not doing that we’re trying different restaurants or attending the Astros or Rockets games. While we love to travel, Houston is our Home and we’re blessed to be at ROBS.

About Me:

Working mom of two kids, ROBS parent volunteer, and current Co-Chair of Lost and Found. My family’s journey at ROBS began 9 years ago when my kids started in the 1st grade.

We have loved every moment here and each year just keeps getting better. A favorite volunteer opportunity of mine has been participating in new family get togethers. It was a privilege to meet the outstanding community of ROBS that truly makes it an absolute blessing to be part of. Some of our favorite things to do as a family are to walk our sweet toy poodle around the block, ride bikes, play card games, and watch movies on the weekends. I look forward to meeting you soon and I’m excited for you to discover the beauty of ROBS!

WELCOME TO ROBS!

About Me:

Financial Advisor with UBS. Volunteer with Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo – Wine Committee. My wife, Amy, is a stay-at-home mom. We have two boys – Luke & Alex & have been at ROBS since Luke’s 6th grade year.

Prior to ROBS the boys attended The Fay School (Pre-K thru 5th grade). Along with participating in school sporting events, both boys play violin. Away from the school we enjoy church on Sundays, spending time at the lake (this is our golden doodle’s happy place), traveling to CO to ski in the winter and spending a little time cooling off in NC during the summer. Although Amy is a great cook, we love dining around Houston. We have been welcomed into the ROBS community and feel blessed to be here.

About Me:

I am a former executive in the non-profit, government, and public sectors, and currently a consultant at EY.

Recognizing that children spend a significant portion of their waking hours at school, it is of grave importance to me that my sweet girl feels safe and connected at school so she can grow at her optimal level. We found that at ROBS, a school we’ve been a part of since kindergarten, and one that has truly become an integral part of our family. Beyond academics, our family stays engaged with a range of activities, including swim and track & field meets, Girl Scouts, and dance competitions. We cherish moments of togetherness through family game nights, weekend brunches, walks with our beloved doodle Cooper, hammock naps, and exploring the richness of our Nigerian culture
