The ROBS admission process is fashioned much like our learning program. We seek to identify the unique gifts of our applicants by getting to know each one through a developmentally appropriate process. The application steps therefore vary with each entry point. For example, applicants will participate in an interactive group activity that is typical of a ROBS learning experience at their grade level.
We value these opportunities to know each applicant family personally for several reasons. It sets the stage for a synchronous parent-school partnership, which we believe is fundamental to student success. It also gives our Admission Committee a holistic appreciation of each child applying to ROBS.

Steps to Apply
Application and Checklist
The application for the 2025-26 school year is due on December 10, 2024. While you have until the deadline to submit the application, we encourage you to apply sooner rather than later so you can begin working on other steps in the admission process. All remaining documents are due January 15, 2025. Please reference the Admission Checklist for additional information.
Attend an Admission Event
Families new to ROBS are required to attend a daytime tour or preview night to learn more about ROBS. Please check out the Schedule a Visit page for event dates and registration information.
Parent Interview
We require parents new to the ROBS admission process to attend a parent interview. We look forward to learning more about you and your family during this time. Once your application has been processed, you may sign up for a meeting time via your child’s online checklist.
Teacher Recommendation Form
Due by January 15, 2025, your child’s current teacher must complete a recommendation form. We strongly encourage you to wait until after Thanksgiving to request the Teacher Recommendation Form from your child’s teacher. This will allow the teacher to better know your child before completing the form. If your child is not currently enrolled in a school, please let us know and we will waive the requirement.
Applicant Visits
Applicant visits for Readiness thru grade 8 will be held in late Fall and early Winter.
Testing & Other Required Documents
