Spiritual Learners
Seventh graders contemplate the question “Who is Jesus?” during their trimester-long Bible class. Your child will discover answers for himself by looking at the different names and titles attributed to Christ in scripture. In addition, he will examine the kingdom of God as Jesus describes it in His parables and consider how that kingdom differs from the world we know.
Students are always surprised at how often Jesus talked about wealth, teaching us to lessen our focus on earthly possessions so we can gain something far better. Your child will have opportunities to express both her understanding of scripture and her creativity through projects such as creating a stop motion video of a parable or writing poetry based on some of the many names of Jesus in the Bible.
