Eager Participants
“In life, be a participant, not a spectator,” Lou Holtz said. At ROBS, we offer a multitude of options in which Middle School students can participate. Sports like basketball, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Artistic endeavors such as choir, orchestra, drama, musical theater, and moviemaking.
Speech, debate, and yearbook. Quiz Bowl and chess and student government. Some of your child’s best Middle School memories will be made participating, performing, and competing with her peers. Win or lose, sink or swim, your child will gain invaluable life lessons by participating:
-
- She will discover her God-given talents and activities she loves.
- He will gain respect for the talents of his peers, especially if he lacks those talents himself.
- She will learn that practice makes improvement.
- He will learn that improvement creates confidence.
- She will learn to channel her nerves and overcome fear.
- He will learn to survive mistakes, pick himself up, and persevere.
- She will learn that teams are stronger—and life is more enjoyable—when every member brings his or her strengths to the table.
