Inspired Artists
Pablo Picasso famously said, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Art is woven into the fabric of Kindergarten life, encouraging creativity, imagination, and problem-solving. Beyond her regular classroom, music and art classes led by experienced art educators will enrich your child’s Kindergarten experience.
Students explore a wide range of fun and messy materials to create original artworks. In November, your child will come up with a clever way to disguise a turkey to save it from the Thanksgiving dinner table. As we approach the 100th day of school, she will create a self-portrait imagining herself at the age of 100. She will discover music can elicit a range of emotions by dancing to Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite. She will learn what makes for a memorable musical performance and then rehearse and perform a concert on Grandparents & Special Friends Day. By learning to value art as a child, may he remain a lover of art once he grows up.
