Master Mathematicians
How do we determine whose building is taller? Which shape is formed when two congruent right triangles are put together? What do creating a block tower, reading a map, and loading a dishwasher have in common? Skills such as number fluency, geometric thinking, and spatial reasoning are essential to future success in math—and your Discovery student is primed to start learning them. She will gain basic number sense by counting and comparing.
He will learn to measure by linking railcars together to build a train the length of the rug. She will develop awareness of shapes and strengthen problem-solving skills by turning the pieces of a puzzle until they fit. And piece by piece, our thoughtfully-designed play is sure to spark your child’s mathematical thinking…even before he can say isosceles.
