Discerning Truth-seekers
Kids have access to a lot of information these days. But can they find the information they need when they need it? Can they understand the information that’s at their fingertips? Can they identify credible sources and distinguish fact from opinion?
Your child will learn these critical skills in our Huffington Library Media Center…and so much more. Reading challenges like Raider Readers, Texas Bluebonnet Awards, and March Book Madness will motivate him to sample a wide array of books. Your child will put her creativity to the test in our Literary Pumpkins contest, decorating a pumpkin not as a jack-o-lantern, but as a character from her favorite book. Your child will count the days to the Reading Festival and treat visiting authors and illustrators like rock stars. And along the way, he will fall in love with reading.
