Every facet of our programming is designed to support a holistic learning experience. We believe inner traits such as patience, self-control, joy, and even love are essential to learning. That’s why character lessons based on the biblical “fruit of the Spirit” infuse social-emotional lessons throughout the day. The integrated approach helps students make connections across disciplines, from Bible class to the morning broadcast on KROB, advisory class, weekly Chapel, and throughout academic areas.
What We Teach About Religion
At School we approach religious questions from a Christian perspective with ecumenical messages such as these:
- God created the entire universe, even us.
- Jesus died for our sins so we can live forever with God.
- God gave each of us special gifts and talents, and we should use them to glorify Him.
- God is love. We can show our love for God by loving and serving others.
Every teacher at ROBS has professed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. But that doesn’t mean our faculty hold identical religious beliefs. Our views are as varied as the churches we attend. Because teachers and students openly discuss spiritual matters at school, your child may come home talking about what she learned. We encourage parents to use these moments to have conversations with your children about your own religious community.
